Purrsday Poetry: Tripod Goes to Church

Tripod Goes to Church

Tripod is an amputee,

who lives behind our church.

He greets us as we come and go

and doesn’t ask for a lot.

Nobody appears to know precisely

why he’s disabled,

however he doesn’t let it gradual him down;

his pace is the stuff of fables.

These days because the service ends

and the doorways are opened broad

he strolls into the narthex

then runs all the way in which inside.

He takes a seat down on the entrance

and stares up on the altar.

By means of closing phrases and shutting hymn

his consideration doesn’t falter.

He’s all the time there on Sunday.

He appears essentially the most religious.

Whereas sitting on the altar

nobody desires to toss him out.

He’s actually fairly a charmer.

People are bringing him cat meals.

The choir sings as he’s strolling out,

God Will Take Care of You

So what occurred to Tripod? He very abruptly stopped displaying up at church and, as with every member who has been trustworthy and stops coming to companies, the congregation was anxious about him. Our minister, perhaps going a bit above and past his duties, tried to seek out out the destiny of our trustworthy cat.

It appears Tripod DID even have a household that lived down the street and behind our church. The household relocated and, fortunately, took Tripod with them.

Placing an finish to hypothesis concerning the destiny of Tripod, our minister introduced, “We will assume he’s going to a different church.”
