A beautiful success for Bluenose Belle final evening at Kempton. Given a positive journey by David Probert – she travelled strongly and made easy headway earlier than taking it up two furlongs out to win decisively. ‘Belle’ is a very fashionable character within the yard being a beautiful big-eared mare with loads of character.
She has strengthened up since we bought her and can hopefully go on to a hurdling profession within the autumn after racing on the flat till then. Delighted for proprietor Geoff Lansbury who has been such a loyal supporter over time having had Noble Lord, Datito, Lindsay and Motou with us amongst others. We look ahead to extra success and it seems to be as if she is going to get additional in time.
The race replay could be seen HERE.
We have now declared Preventing Poet (pictured) for Kempton on Saturday within the 8.30pm. He ran effectively over a shorter journey final trip at Lingfield and can this time be sporting a tongue strap and be ridden by Daniel Muscutt. Hopefully the step up in journey will go well with him and he can provide the Richard Phillips Racing Syndicate some pleasure.
A slight thaw in a single day which meant we might leap among the horses within the out of doors college and searching ahead to education on the grass very quickly.
